More Than 8 Million Children in Pakistan Forced Into Labor

Islamabad (Turkiye Khabar) Instead of getting an education, millions of children in Pakistan are forced to spend their lives in labor and hard work. According to a report, more than 8 million children in the country are victims of child labor, including over 6 million children who are working in dangerous conditions.

The report stated that the major reason behind this alarming situation is poverty, which has the greatest impact on low-income families and parents with limited education.

According to statistics, a large number of boys are engaged in various sectors, including hazardous work, while the majority of children are involved in family farms, workshops, and domestic work.

The report warned that child labor has negative effects on the physical and mental health of children. Children who stay away from school and work for long hours remain vulnerable to illness, exhaustion, and mental stress.
