Rahim Yar Khan (Turkiya News): Maulana Fazlur Rehman, head of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI), has stated that it is not appropriate to think about creating new provinces without first addressing administrative and ground realities. He emphasized that any new provinces should be established based on actual territorial conditions and administrative needs.
Speaking at a press conference in Rahim Yar Khan, Maulana Fazlur Rehman described the ongoing negotiations between the government and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) as a positive step.
He further remarked that the presidential system in Pakistan has failed and that institutions must operate within constitutional limits to ensure transparency and stability in the country.
The JUI chief expressed concern over the lack of implementation of the madrassah registration law at both federal and provincial levels. He added that if elections are held based on merit, inflation and exploitative systems could be curbed.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman also stressed that every citizen has the right to freedom of expression and to protest for their rights.
