Islamabad (Sports Desk): The Asian champion Pakistan Under-19 cricket team has departed for Zimbabwe to participate in a tri-nation series and the ICC Under-19 World Cup.
The team is being led by Farhan Yousaf. Prior to departure, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi met the team at a hotel, bid farewell to the players and officials with best wishes, and expressed his hopes for a successful tour.
The Pakistan Under-19 team traveled from Islamabad to Zimbabwe’s capital, Harare, via Dubai. All 15 players and the team management departed on the same flight.
In Zimbabwe, the Pakistan Under-19 team will take part in both the tri-nation series and the ICC Under-19 World Cup. The tri-nation series will begin on December 25, while Pakistan will play its first match on December 27.
According to PCB officials, the team looked confident before departure, and the management is fully hopeful for a strong performance during the tour.
