United States Seeks Full Ceasefire in the Middle East: Donald Trump

WASHINGTON (Monitoring Desk) – U.S. President Donald Trump has said that the United States is committed to establishing peace in the world and seeks a complete ceasefire on all fronts in the Middle East, including the ongoing tensions between Lebanon, Hezbollah, and Israel.

In a statement posted on social media, the U.S. president said that all parties in the Middle East must remain committed to their promises and engagement in the negotiation process in order to achieve lasting peace in the region.

He said that global markets have positively responded to a decline in oil prices and an improvement in the stock market, describing it as a sign of success for the United States.

The U.S. president also rejected reports related to Iran, saying that no major financial payments are being made by the United States to Iran, and that such claims are false and politically motivated propaganda.

Trump said that the U.S. is working to ensure a ceasefire among all parties in the region and to reduce tensions.

Earlier, speaking to reporters in Paris, he had said that if some countries possess ballistic missiles, Iran having limited capability reflects an imbalance in the situation.

He further stated that the United States will for now maintain its military presence in the Gulf region to ensure stability following the recent escalation.
