Azerbaijan President Meets Delegation of Arab Coordination Group, Discusses Expansion of Cooperation

BAKU (Turkiye Khabar) – President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with a delegation comprising senior officials of member institutions of the Arab Coordination Group.

According to the official news agency, the delegation included IsDB Group Chairman Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, President of the OPEC Fund for International Development Abdulhamid Al Khalifa, President of the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa Abdullah Khaleel Al Masbiha, Director General and Chairman of the Arab Monetary Fund Fahad Al Turki, CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al Marshad, Executive Director of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development Hammam bin Nasser bin Jareer, Operations Director of the Kuwait Arab Economic Development Fund Tamer Al Felaikawi, Saudi Minister of Finance Mohammed Abdullah Al-Jadaan, Kuwait Minister of Finance Yaqoub Al-Rifai, Qatar Minister of Finance Ali Ahmed Al-Kuwari, and UAE Ministry of Finance Deputy Minister for International Financial Relations Ali Abdullah Sharafi.

During the meeting, President Ilham Aliyev stated that the participation of Arab Coordination Group member institutions in the 2026 annual meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group is of great importance.

He said that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the institutions of the Arab Coordination Group continues to develop, and several projects have already entered the implementation phase.
