BAKU (Turkiye Khabar) – Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Yalchin Rafiyev met with Workneh Gebeyehu Nega, Executive Director of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), an organization comprising African countries.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and IGAD member African countries, as well as enhancing cooperation at the international level. Both sides emphasized the importance of maintaining continuous political dialogue through mutual visits and strengthening institutional cooperation.
During the talks, the two sides discussed potential cooperation in various fields, including political, economic, education, health, climate change, public services, transport, and communications.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on regional and global issues. Both parties agreed to further expand cooperation in the future in order to promote shared interests.
