Yemen (Monitoring Desk): Deputy President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Abu Zarah Al-Muharrami, has warmly welcomed Saudi Arabia’s invitation to host an international conference on the future of South Yemen, stating that the Council views every Saudi-led dialogue as a crucial and decisive opportunity for the region.
In his statement, Al-Muharrami emphasized that the Southern Transitional Council has actively participated in all previous Saudi-sponsored negotiations and consultative processes and remains firmly committed to continuing this engagement in the future. He described the upcoming conference as a historic opportunity for South Yemen.
According to Al-Muharrami, the expected conference in Riyadh will lay the foundation for a serious, transparent, and purposeful dialogue aimed at securing the legitimate demands of the people of South Yemen. He said that the platform will bring together all relevant stakeholders under one roof, paving the way for a fair and lasting political solution.
He further stated that Saudi Arabia’s initiative reflects its continued commitment to political stability and peaceful resolution in Yemen, adding that Riyadh’s step sends a strong message for establishing peace across the region.
