Saudi Arabia Supports Pakistan’s Mediation Efforts, Calls for Reopening of Strait of Hormuz

Riyadh (Monitoring Desk) Saudi Arabia has announced its support for Pakistan’s mediation efforts regarding Iran and has called for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and reduction of regional tensions.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep concern over the ongoing military escalation in the region and urged all parties to exercise restraint, de-escalate tensions, and avoid further confrontation.

In its statement, the ministry said Saudi Arabia fully supports Pakistan’s diplomatic and mediation efforts to find a political solution that can protect the region from instability and security risks.

It further emphasized that restoring freedom of international maritime navigation in the Strait of Hormuz is extremely important, and the situation must be returned to normal conditions as it was before February 28, to ensure safe and uninterrupted passage of shipping traffic.
