Pakistan Becomes Global Hub for Digital Economy and Bitcoin

Islamabad (Commerce Desk): Pakistan’s rapid progress in digital economy and Bitcoin technology has placed the country at the center of global attention. In a special interview at the Abu Dhabi Bitcoin Conference 2025, Bilal Bin Saqib, Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, stated that Pakistan views Bitcoin and other digital assets not just as investments, but as a key pillar of the future financial system.

According to the Chairman, Pakistan, with a population of 240 million and 70% youth, aims to move beyond the traditional economy and rapidly develop a new and effective model of digital economy. The government’s goal is to empower the youth not merely as consumers, but as digital creators and architects of the new economy.

Bilal Bin Saqib further added that Pakistan is implementing comprehensive reforms to transform the unregulated crypto market into a transparent, secure, and investor-friendly system meeting global standards. These measures are providing a new direction to the national economy and enhancing global confidence.

These initiatives highlight Pakistan’s prominent role in financial innovation and the digital revolution while opening new opportunities for the country’s young population.
