Brazil’s Raphinha Injured, Ruled Out of Match as Initial Treatment Underway
Baku (Sports Desk) Raphinha had to leave the field in the first half due to an injury during Brazil’s victory against Haiti in Philadelphia.
The Barcelona forward received medical attention after experiencing pain in his right leg and was subsequently substituted.
The player appeared emotional while leaving the field, and was comforted by his teammate Gabriel Magalhães.
In a post-match statement, the Brazilian Football Confederation said that Raphinha felt pain in his right hamstring during the first half, after which his treatment began and he will undergo further medical evaluation.
The confederation added that further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
