Gaza (Monitoring Desk): In the context of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) has expressed serious concern over Israel’s decision, warning that halting the organization’s operations could deprive millions of Palestinians of essential medical services, further worsening the already dire humanitarian situation.
In an interview, Christopher Loquere, Secretary-General of Doctors Without Borders, said that Israel’s move to stop the organization’s activities in Gaza would have "devastating consequences" for the local population.
The warning came a day after Israel announced that it would suspend Doctors Without Borders’ operations in Gaza by the end of February, citing the organization’s failure to provide a list of its Palestinian staff members.
