Wana (Turkiye Khabar) A suicide attack by terrorists on a Pakistan Army check post in Azam Warsak area of South Waziristan was foiled, resulting in injuries to seven civilians.
According to sources, the attacker attempted to target the check post using an explosives-laden vehicle; however, the Pakistan Army’s high-alert personnel responded in time and destroyed the vehicle before it could reach its target.
Officials said that neutralizing the attacker at a distance from the post helped prevent major loss of life, while the attacker was also killed.
Following the incident, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
According to DHQ Hospital Wana’s MS, Dr. Jan Muhammad, the seven injured civilians were immediately shifted to the hospital, where they are being provided medical treatment.
