RAWALPINDI (Turkiye Khabar) – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with Ghana’s Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong, at the General Headquarters (GHQ), where both sides held detailed discussions on matters of mutual interest, the regional security situation, and the enhancement of defence cooperation.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to further expand professional military relations and strengthen cooperation in the defence sector.
The discussions focused particularly on joint training programmes in counterterrorism, defence production, and the exchange of military expertise. Both sides also reviewed new opportunities for bilateral collaboration in various fields.
The ISPR stated that the Chief of Defence Staff of Ghana appreciated the professionalism, training standards, and contributions of Pakistan’s Armed Forces toward national security, and praised their overall performance.
On the occasion, both military leaders expressed their resolve to further strengthen defence relations and promote mutual cooperation between the two countries.
Upon his arrival at the General Headquarters, the Chief of Defence Staff of Ghana was presented with a guard of honour by a smartly turned-out military contingent.
