Actor Faizon Love Appears in Court; Dispute in Child Support Case Escalates
Baku (Showbiz Desk) American actor Faizon Love was presented in a Florida court, where he appeared for a preliminary hearing related to an arrest warrant issued after his recent detention. He arrived at the hearing in a wheelchair and with handcuffs.
The 58-year-old actor, known for his roles in films Elf and Friday, is currently facing two contempt of court charges related to child support.
According to court records, his former wife, Tiffany Lee, claims that the actor owes $250,000 in unpaid payments and that he violated several court orders by failing to make monthly payments of $2,500 for several years.
The actor’s lawyer argued in court that Faizon Love is facing severe financial difficulties, is currently homeless, uses an old vehicle, and depends financially on friends.
According to court testimony, the actor stated that his total income over the past five years was only $13,000, while in 2025 he earned no income at all.
On the other hand, his former wife alleged via video call that the actor had reportedly said he would quit work and cancel shows in order to avoid making payments.
