Yerevan, Armenia (Turkiye Khabar) Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz has said that the normalization and peace process between Turkey and Armenia is extremely valuable and can serve as an example and inspiration for other conflict-affected regions around the world.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the 8th European Political Community Summit in Yerevan, he said that unfortunately many parts of the world are still suffering from conflicts and escalating wars.
The Vice President said that both countries have signed an important agreement for the joint restoration of the historic Ani Bridge, calling it a symbolic and practical step toward improving relations.
Referring to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, he said both leaders have played an important role in advancing the process and have taken realistic steps toward regional stability through a pragmatic vision.
Highlighting the role of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Cevdet Yılmaz said Turkey’s leadership is actively working to promote peace and diplomacy in various global conflicts, including the Middle East, Africa, Syria, and the Balkans.
He further said that small practical steps gradually build trust, which can pave the way for lasting peace in the region.
The Vice President also noted improvements in air connectivity, saying that Turkish Airlines has resumed flights to Istanbul while Pegasus Airlines had already begun operations earlier.
