US Decides to Withdraw 5,000 Troops from Germany

Washington (Monitoring Desk) The United States has decided to withdraw 5,000 troops from Germany. According to media reports, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has issued the order for the troop withdrawal. The decision comes at a time when differences between the US and European countries have increased over the issue of the Iran war.

Earlier, US President Donald Trump had also threatened to reduce the number of troops in Germany, reportedly due to a sharp exchange of words with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. The German Chancellor had accused Iran’s government of not cooperating with the United States in negotiations to end the ongoing conflict.

According to a Pentagon spokesperson, the withdrawal of US troops will be completed within the next six to twelve months.
