Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding Between Iran and the United States, Progress in Talks

Tehran (Commerce Desk) Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has said that a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed with the United States in order to assess the American commitment regarding respect for Iranian rights.

According to the Iranian President, after lengthy and detailed negotiations, members of the Iranian Parliament approved the text of this Memorandum of Understanding. He said that during this process, the Supreme leadership played an important role in including key clauses to protect national interests.

Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian said that this Memorandum of Understanding is the result of several months of negotiations and is being described as an important step toward ending the war and initiating formal talks. According to him, Iran is prepared for all possible situations and options.

He further said that if all clauses of this agreement are fully implemented, it could prove to be a source of pride.

On the other hand, U.S. Vice President JD Vance also confirmed the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding. According to reports, on the U.S. side it was signed by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, while on the Iranian side it was signed by Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.
