Azerbaijan (Turkiye Khabar) – Two Indian citizens who were allegedly abducted by an international human smuggling network in Azerbaijan have been rescued.
According to reports, law enforcement agencies from India and Azerbaijan conducted a joint operation to locate the victims and took suspects linked to the case into custody, as reported by News.Az citing foreign sources.
Initial information indicates that the victims—a 22-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman from Gujarat—were attempting to migrate illegally to the United States. Their journey involved a complex smuggling network spanning multiple countries, and they had reportedly paid a substantial amount to intermediaries who had promised to arrange their travel.
