Turkey’s Foreign Minister to visit Croatia, attend Three Seas Initiative meeting

Istanbul (Turkiye News) Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will travel to Dubrovnik, Croatia on Tuesday to attend the two-day Three Seas Initiative summit.

According to diplomatic sources, the summit is significant as Turkey is participating for the first time as a strategic partner in the platform. This status was granted during last year’s meeting in Warsaw.

Sources said the Turkish Foreign Minister will address the summit on behalf of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. In his speech, he will emphasize that connectivity today is no longer limited to basic infrastructure but extends to transport, energy, digital systems, finance, and governance.

He will highlight the negative impact of global conflicts on the economy and energy supply, stressing the need to diversify supply chains and energy routes.

Hakan Fidan will also state that Turkey views the initiative as a comprehensive and joint regional platform and is ready for further cooperation due to its strategic position.

Additionally, he is expected to emphasize the need for a new and constructive narrative in Turkey–EU relations, while describing projects such as the Middle Corridor and Development Road as vital for global trade.
