Istanbul (Turkiye Khabar): Türkiye has welcomed the agreement reached between the Yemeni government and the Houthi group regarding the exchange and release of prisoners.
According to reports, the agreement was finalized after negotiations held in Amman, the capital of Jordan.
In a statement, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that this development is an important step toward resolving the Yemen issue and is expected to give new momentum to efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive political solution.
The ministry appreciated the efforts of all parties involved in the process, stating that the agreement would further strengthen ongoing diplomatic efforts for lasting peace in Yemen.
It further added that Türkiye will continue to support Yemen’s territorial integrity and national unity and will fully back efforts aimed at establishing sustainable peace in the country.
