Ankara (Turkiye Khabar): The special program “Teknofest Blue Homeland”, held under Turkey’s largest technology event Teknofest 2026, will take place from August 20 to 23 at the Gölcük Naval Shipyard Command in Kocaeli, attracting a large number of participants interested in marine and underwater technologies.
According to a statement issued by the Teknofest organizers, this program was held for the first time last year in Istanbul, where it received an enthusiastic public response.
This special event, organized under the world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival Teknofest, holds a prominent position due to its unique activities and competitions, showcasing domestically developed naval platforms and underwater technologies.
This year, the event is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ministry of Defense, and the Türkiye Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), while hosting responsibilities have been assigned to the Gölcük Naval Shipyard Command.
The aim of the event is to connect Türkiye’s maritime strength and advanced technological capabilities with the younger generation and to build a strong vision for the future through national and domestic technologies.
Young innovators will transform their ideas into practical technologies, including competitions such as unmanned underwater systems, underwater rocket challenges, and unmanned surface naval vehicle contests.
Young engineers and entrepreneurs will also present projects that could play an important role in shaping Türkiye’s maritime future.
During the event, Teknofest-affiliated institutions will showcase their activities in exhibition areas and interact directly with participants.
“Teknofest Blue Homeland” will also feature ship exhibitions, virtual reality zones, marine-themed competitions, photo zones, demonstrations by Turkish underwater defense and offensive teams, experiential sections reflecting naval history, as well as various conferences and exhibitions.
