Turkey Gains International Support Over Iran’s Missile Attacks: Hakan Fidan

Ankara: Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held discussions with his counterparts in Spain and Singapore regarding the impact of the ongoing Middle East conflict. According to Turkish diplomatic sources, Minister Fidan spoke separately by phone with José Manuel Albares, Spain’s Foreign Minister, and Vivian Balakrishnan, Singapore’s Foreign Minister.

During the talks, the ministers from Spain and Singapore expressed solidarity with Turkey in response to the ballistic missile launched at Turkish territory.

Earlier in the day, Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense reported that a ballistic missile fired by Iran into Turkish airspace was neutralized over the Eastern Mediterranean by NATO’s air and missile defense systems. This marked the third such incident by Iran against Turkey following the U.S.-Israeli operation.

On February 28, Israel and United States conducted a joint strike on Iran, reportedly killing around 1,300 people, including the then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Tehran targeted U.S. military installations in Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries with drones and missiles, resulting in civilian infrastructure damage and casualties.
