Turkey Condemns Iran’s Attacks as Unacceptable

Ankara/Istanbul: Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yilmaz stated that while Turkey supports the Iranian people, attacks by Iran unacceptable.”

Speaking to CNN Turk, Yilmaz emphasized that Ankara is maintaining a principled stance regarding the dispute with Iran. He said, “Turkey takes a principled position in support of the Iranian people and makes it clear that attacks against Iran’s neighbors are unacceptable.”

Responding to reports of missiles fired toward Turkey by Iran, Yilmaz noted that Ankara is reviewing the incident in a “calm and measured manner.” He added, “Turkey is a country with history and traditions. It is not a nation that makes decisions based on emotion or sudden reactions. We can analyze each incident from multiple perspectives, weigh the benefits and drawbacks, and consider long-term consequences.”

Yilmaz further stated, “We have repeatedly warned that such actions should not occur, and we hope they will not happen again.” He also affirmed that Turkey will continue taking measures to protect itself from all kinds of threats.
