Turkey and Venezuela Agree to Strengthen Cooperation, Talks Held on Energy and Trade

Istanbul (Turkey News): Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodríguez has expressed gratitude after a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, highlighting agreement on expanding cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, both leaders held detailed discussions on enhancing collaboration in various sectors including energy, transport, mining, air connectivity, science and technology, industry, electricity, and trade.

Delcy Rodríguez said on social media that she had the honor of a constructive and cordial meeting with President Erdoğan, in which both sides agreed to further strengthen bilateral relations.

The two sides also agreed to hold a joint cooperation commission meeting in November to further expand relations between the two countries.

President Erdoğan stated on the occasion that Ankara will always stand with the friendly people of Venezuela and remains committed to further promoting cooperation in various fields.

It is worth noting that diplomatic relations between Turkey and Venezuela were established in 1950, and in recent years cooperation between the two countries has significantly increased, particularly in the fields of energy and trade.
