Ankara (Turkiye News): Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a meeting with US Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack in Ankara, according to the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
The ministry shared a photograph of the meeting but did not provide further details regarding the discussions.
Tom Barrack, who also serves as the US Special Envoy for Iraq and Syria, said on social media platform X that the meeting was positive and constructive, particularly ahead of the upcoming NATO-related engagements in Ankara next month.
He stated that the United States and Turkey are close allies with shared objectives, adding that the partnership is producing practical results.
The meeting comes at a time when consultations and cooperation between the two countries continue on defense and regional issues, with the upcoming North Atlantic Treaty Organization summit being described as highly significant.
