Ankara (Monitoring Desk): Presidential spokesperson Burhanuddin Duran stated that he met with Somalia’s Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism Dawood Aweys Jama and Minister of Ports and Maritime Transport Abdulkadir Mohamed Nur. The meeting took place at the Presidential Communications Directorate following a panel on “Turkey–Somalia Relations Amid Global Change.”
Spokesperson Duran said that the discussions focused on potential joint initiatives between the two countries, particularly in strategic communications, media, public diplomacy, and institutional cooperation.
He added that both Turkey and Somalia are committed to further strengthening their long-standing relations and brotherhood. To achieve this, they agreed to promote mutual exchange of experiences and expand joint projects.
According to the spokesperson, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Turkey–Somalia relations will continue to develop on the foundations of mutual trust and strategic partnership.
