Trump Expresses Distrust Over Iran’s New Proposals for Ceasefire

Washington (Monitoring Desk) US President Donald Trump has said that he is not satisfied with the new proposals received from Iran through Pakistan for a ceasefire, and that the situation will continue until the desired objectives are achieved.

Talking to the media, the US President said that communication through phone contacts with Iran is ongoing, but no clear progress has been made so far. According to him, Iran wants an agreement but is making demands on which it is not possible to reach consensus.

Donald Trump described Iran’s current leadership as unclear and divided, saying that there is no coordination within the leadership, different leaders are making different statements, and it is also not clear who actually holds authority. He reiterated his stance that Iran must not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.
