Special Solidarity Day Festival held for low-income children at Baku Zoological Park

Baku (Turkey News) – On the initiative of Leila Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and Chairperson of the IDEA Public Union, a special festival was organized for children from low-income families at Baku Zoological Park to celebrate the International Day of Solidarity of Azerbaijanis and the New Year.

A total of 150 children from the districts of Abshiron, Nizami, and Qaradagh participated, with 50 children from each district. Various educational and recreational programs were arranged, during which zoo experts provided detailed information about the animals’ lives, habitats, and diets.

Children were also introduced to the process of releasing certain animals and birds back into their natural habitats, learning that Baku Zoological Park is not only a place for exhibition but also an important center for biodiversity conservation and breeding of rare species.

The event fostered children’s interest in nature and animals and played a key role in promoting environmental awareness. The festival concluded with recreational activities and a lunch for the children.
