Shashi Tharoor Questions India’s Hostile Policy Towards Pakistan

New Delhi (Monitoring Desk): Indian politician and Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor has raised questions over India’s long-standing hostile policy toward Pakistan, calling it a failed strategy that has weakened prospects for regional peace.

In his column, Tharoor argued that maintaining Pakistan as a perpetual enemy has been used for domestic political gain but has yielded no practical benefits. He emphasized that perceiving dialogue with Pakistan as a defeat is misguided and that sustainable peace in South Asia is not possible without negotiations.

Tharoor also criticized the BJP’s rigid and reactionary policies, saying they have not only made the region insecure but have also harmed India’s diplomatic interests.
