Iran Issues Strong Warning to the United States, Announces Retaliation in Case of Oil Tanker Attacks

Tehran (Monitoring Desk) Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued a strong warning to the United States, stating clearly that if Iranian oil tankers are targeted, American installations and military targets in the region will be hit in response. According to Iranian state news agency, the commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force said in a statement that Iran’s missiles and advanced drones are fully operational and capable of delivering an immediate response to any aggression. He said that Iran has the capability to target not only American military bases but also enemy warships present in the region. He added that Iran will take all possible measures to protect its oil shipments and national interests.

On the other hand, according to Iranian media, the United States has sent new proposals regarding an extension of ceasefire talks to Iran through Pakistan, while indirect diplomatic contacts between the two countries are ongoing. Experts say that due to rising tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and increased U.S. naval activity, the regional situation has become extremely sensitive. Iran has already warned that if its oil exports or sea routes are harmed, it will respond strongly.

It is worth noting that in recent days tensions between Iran and the United States have increased, and its effects are clearly visible on global oil prices as well.
