Baku (Turkiye News Desk): Negotiations between Russia and Azerbaijan are ongoing in several important areas, particularly in the field of energy.
Speaking to international media representatives on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the two countries are discussing multiple practical and significant areas of cooperation, although it is still too early to disclose detailed information.
He clarified that a major portion of the talks relates to the energy sector and further progress is expected in this regard. He also stated that he is expected to meet Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev soon, where all these issues will be discussed in detail.
President Putin added that relations between Russia and Azerbaijan are moving in a positive direction, and both countries are keen to further expand mutual cooperation.
