Baku (Turkiye News Desk): In Tbilisi, well-known political analyst and Executive Secretary of the “United Neutral Georgia” party Vato Shakarishvili said that in the current era, the stability of transit routes and the promotion of mutual connectivity have become major global challenges.
He stated that the full operationalization of the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway further strengthens the region’s connectivity system and significantly increases transit capacity.
According to him, such important transit routes are not only economically significant but also highly important from a security perspective, as their stability is essential for regional peace and development.
The political analyst described the project as a clear example of successful cooperation between Azerbaijan, Türkiye, and Georgia.
He said that Georgia and Azerbaijan are not only close partners in transit routes but also in new energy projects related to the Black Sea region.
He added that the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars railway symbolizes how regional countries are jointly utilizing their capabilities to enhance their global importance.
The analyst further noted that Azerbaijan is continuously creating new opportunities for investment and cooperation to better utilize regional potential, including the promotion of regional partnerships.
According to Vato Shakarishvili, the project plays a vital role not only in the economic development of the region but also in strengthening the strategic partnership among Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey.
