Lahore (Turkey News): Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has assigned the responsibility of eliminating illegal arms to the CCD.
The Chief Minister has directed a comprehensive campaign to curb the culture of firearms after Eid-ul-Fitr. For the first time in Punjab, a comprehensive act has been prepared to regulate arms exhibitions and prevent illegal usage.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif has approved The Punjab Surrender Illicit Arms Act 2026, which includes provisions for the destruction of all types of illegal weapons. Displaying antique weapons at home will also require special permission. Under the new act, all illegal arms must be surrendered to the CCD.
