Shamakhi (Turkey News) – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev inaugurated the new building of the Shamakhi European Lyceum, organized under the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
According to Azertag, the President’s aide Anar Alakbarov briefed him on the modern facilities provided at the lyceum. The report noted that the old building was constructed in 1937 and rebuilt in 1987, but over time it became unusable. Under the direction of the Foundation’s President Mehriban Aliyeva, a new building was constructed.
The institution is the largest in the district, with a capacity for 1,200 students. The building consists of seven blocks with three to four floors each. The lyceum is equipped with modern furniture and facilities, including specialized classrooms and laboratories.
It features over 50 classrooms, physics, chemistry, and biology laboratories, computer and STEAM classes, military training, medical and vocational practical classes, a library, dining facilities, an auditorium, sports rooms, and an open-air sports field.
