President Ilham Aliyev sent a congratulatory message to Pope Leo XIV on the occasion of his coronation day, stating that these relations play an important role in promoting interfaith harmony, cultural diversity, and trust between civilizations worldwide.
In his message, the President said that Azerbaijan is recognized as a model multicultural society in the world, where religious and ethnic diversity is considered a national asset and equal opportunities are ensured for followers of all faiths.
He expressed pride that Azerbaijan is a country where people of different beliefs and religions live in an environment of mutual respect, peace, and harmony.
