Baku (Turkiye News): According to Azerbaijan’s official news agency, political consultations between Azerbaijan and Estonia were held on June 11, with senior diplomatic officials from both sides participating.
Azerbaijan was represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Fariz Rzayev, while the Estonian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Marten Roger.
During the talks, both sides reviewed the current state of political relations and emphasized strengthening cooperation through continuous diplomatic engagements and coordination in international forums.
The meeting welcomed the opening of an Estonian embassy in Azerbaijan, describing it as an important development in bilateral relations.
Both sides also discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in economic, humanitarian, and educational sectors.
In addition, discussions were held on Azerbaijan’s key energy and transport projects, regional developments, and cooperation in international organizations.
The consultations also covered efforts to normalize relations with Armenia, ongoing reconstruction in war-affected areas, rehabilitation work, and demining operations.
