Islamabad (Turkey News) – Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has clarified that Pakistan has not targeted any civilian areas in Afghanistan.
Speaking to Arab News, he stated that Pakistan is only targeting militant hideouts and their supporting infrastructure in Afghanistan, and these operations are based on accurate intelligence. He emphasized that harming civilian areas is not Pakistan’s objective.
The minister dismissed the figures presented by the Afghan Taliban government as fictitious, calling the claims by the Afghan Ministry of Defense mere propaganda unworthy of serious comment. He also denied reports from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan regarding civilian casualties, stating that such information relies entirely on the Taliban government.
Tarar pointed out that joint operations by the Afghan Taliban and Fitna al-Khawarij terrorists confirm coordination among multiple terrorist groups operating from Afghan territory.
He further added that Pakistan has responded immediately and effectively to all attacks by the Afghan Taliban, accurately targeting terrorist bases, including those of the Afghan Taliban.
