Gilgit (Turkey News) Preparations for elections in Gilgit-Baltistan have been completed, where 119 out of 174 polling stations in Diamer district have been declared highly sensitive.
According to sources, a total of 158,714 voters are registered in four constituencies of Diamer district, including 81,655 male voters and 77,059 female voters.
A total of 174 polling stations and 380 polling booths have been established in the district, out of which 119 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive, 22 sensitive, and 33 normal.
In constituency GBA-15 Diamer-I (Chilas), the total number of voters is 44,526, where 52 polling stations have been set up, including 22 highly sensitive, 12 sensitive, and 18 normal.
In GBA-16 Diamer-II (Chilas), 46,282 voters will exercise their right to vote, with 44 polling stations established, including 19 highly sensitive and 10 sensitive.
In GBA-17 Diamer-III (Darel), all 46 polling stations have been declared highly sensitive, where 41,045 voters are registered.
Similarly, in GBA-18 Diamer-IV (Tangir), all 32 polling stations are also declared highly sensitive, with 26,861 registered voters.
It is worth noting that elections in Gilgit-Baltistan will be held tomorrow. The Election Commission has imposed a ban on campaigning, while 5,000 personnel of the Punjab Police have also arrived in the region for security purposes.
