Islamabad (Turkiye News) Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, has strongly condemned Israeli attacks on Lebanon, stating that such actions constitute violations of international law and established global norms.
Addressing the United Nations Security Council, he said that the attacks on Lebanon are undermining ongoing efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the region. According to him, achieving sustainable and lasting peace is only possible through dialogue, diplomacy, and constructive engagement between parties.
Asim Iftikhar emphasized that Pakistan stands in full solidarity with the government and people of Lebanon and will continue supporting initiatives that promote regional peace and stability.
He further stated that Pakistan remains committed to diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions and resolving disputes through peaceful means. He also called on the international community to play a responsible role in supporting peace and preventing further escalation in the region.
