Islamabad (Turkiye News) The Pakistan Airports Authority has decided to fully restore inactive and partially operational airports across the country, with practical measures already being initiated to implement the plan.
In this regard, an important meeting was held in Karachi under the chairmanship of Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed. Senior officials from departments dealing with airport services, engineering, and commercial affairs attended the meeting and reviewed various development projects.
During the session, relevant authorities were directed to take the necessary steps to make the airports in Dera Ismail Khan, Turbat, Dalbandin, and Saidu Sharif fully operational.
The meeting also considered prospects for the restoration and further development of airports in Sukkur and Gwadar, along with other aviation facilities.
According to sources, the Ministry of Defence of Pakistan has instructed the Pakistan Airports Authority to take effective and immediate measures for the early revival of all inactive airports in order to improve air connectivity and strengthen the country’s aviation network.
