PAA Denies Reports of Pakistan Airspace Closure

Islamabad (Turkey News): The Pakistan Airports Authority has dismissed reports claiming a partial closure of Pakistan’s airspace.

According to PAA, the country’s airspace is fully secure and available for all types of commercial operations. NOTAM A0134/26 does not indicate any partial closure but only shows temporary unavailability of specific routes.

The authority clarified that certain ATS routes in the Karachi and Lahore Flight Information Regions will be affected daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., but alternative airports and routes are available and fully operational.

PAA emphasized that all commercial flights—including arrivals, departures, and overflights—face no restrictions, and unverified reports, particularly misinterpretations of NOTAMs, can cause unnecessary concern for passengers.
