Azerbaijan (Turkey News): President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has inaugurated the foundation of a new plastic and laminate bag factory by "Non, SDRL" company at Sumgait Industrial Park.
According to Azertac, the company’s founder Kamran Rzayev briefed the president on the future factory plans. The project, granted to the company in 2023 as a resident of Sumgait Industrial Park, will be built on a one-hectare site.
The factory will utilize German technology and is expected to produce 1,680 tons of laminate bags and 1,440 tons of plastic bags annually, totaling over 3,120 tons, primarily to meet domestic market demand.
The factory will also create 140 permanent jobs. The project’s investment value is 11.2 million manats, including 3 million manats provided by the Ministry of Economy’s Business Development Fund as a preferential loan. Additionally, all equipment imported for the factory will be exempt from VAT and customs duties.
