Muscat (Monitoring Desk): Laili Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, inspected the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque during her visit to Muscat. The mosque was built on the initiative of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
Opened to the public in 2001, the mosque can accommodate approximately 20,000 worshippers. It is not only a center of worship but also a prominent architectural and cultural landmark of Muscat.
