Islamabad (Turkey News) Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that there is a strong need in today’s era to promote and act upon the message of poet of the East Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
Paying rich tribute to Allama Iqbal, he said that Iqbal gave the message of selfhood, awakening, and action to the Muslim Ummah, which still serves as a guiding light for the entire nation.
According to the Interior Minister, Iqbal’s core vision was the unity of the Muslim Ummah. He envisioned Muslims as a single entity beyond differences of race, color, and language.
He said that for Iqbal, Muslims are like one body, whose strength lies in unity, brotherhood, and a shared purpose.
Mohsin Naqvi added that Allama Iqbal taught Muslims that slavery is not destiny but a weakness that can be changed through selfhood and action. In his historic Allahabad Address, he presented the concept of a separate state for the Muslims of the subcontinent, which later became a reality.
He further said that Iqbal described youth as “Shaheen” (falcon), teaching them ambition, self-respect, and continuous struggle, and called youth the true asset of the nation.
The Interior Minister said that Iqbal’s poetry is not just words but a revolutionary message that awakened the Muslim world. In today’s era of division and discord, his message has become even more important.
