Islamabad (Turkiye News Desk): On the completion of 75 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the Chinese newspaper Global Times has described China–Pakistan friendship as a strong, reliable, and model partnership.
The report stated that relations between Pakistan and China are based on strategic cooperation, mutual trust, and shared interests, which have evolved into a long-standing and stable partnership. Despite global political changes and economic fluctuations over the past decades, the relationship between the two countries has continued to grow in strength and scope.
According to the report, international relations are generally driven by interests, but the friendship between Pakistan and China stands as a unique example of lasting trust and unwavering cooperation. Both countries have consistently supported each other during difficult times.
Chinese media noted that China has strongly supported Pakistan’s position on sovereignty and territorial integrity at various international forums, including the United Nations. In return, Pakistan has also recognized China as a reliable global partner and extended diplomatic support.
The report further said that the relationship is not limited to economic interests but is rooted in deep strategic cooperation, mutual respect, and strong emotional ties. Pakistan was among the first countries to recognize China under its independent foreign policy.
Despite security challenges, Pakistan remains committed to facilitating Chinese investment and ensuring the protection of Chinese nationals in the country. Economic cooperation, particularly through the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, has entered a new phase aimed at promoting shared prosperity and development.
Analysts say Pakistan’s balanced foreign policy has strengthened ties with China as well as other major countries, positioning Pakistan as a stable and reliable partner.
Observers further emphasize that Pakistan–China relations are not just diplomatic ties but a symbol of iron brotherhood, mutual trust, and shared development, and will continue to play a significant role in regional peace and progress.
