Baku (Türkiye News) The first General Assembly of the Global South NGO Platform has been held under the “Baku Urban Development Week.”
According to the Azerbaijani news agency AZƏRTAC, representatives of non-governmental organizations from a total of 114 countries participated in this important meeting, including regions such as Latin America, Africa, Asia, and the Pacific.
The report stated that the General Assembly will continue throughout the day with various panels and sessions, where discussions are being held on topics such as development, urban planning, and global cooperation.
Officials from Azerbaijan also attended the opening ceremony, where emphasis was placed on the role of NGOs at the global level and the need to further strengthen cooperation among Global South countries.
