Azerbaijan (Turkiya News): Azerbaijani Finance Minister Sahil Babayev met with a World Bank delegation in Baku on Monday to explore ways to further expand cooperation in infrastructure, energy, urban development, and digital transformation.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the current collaboration between Azerbaijan and the World Bank and discussed opportunities for its further enhancement. They specifically focused on ongoing World Bank-supported projects and future programs in infrastructure, urban development, energy, and digitalization.
Babayev noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank has been ongoing for over 30 years, during which the bank has provided financial assistance of approximately $5.2 billion for 54 projects in the country. He emphasized that this partnership plays a key role in promoting economic reforms and sustainable infrastructure development.
