Istanbul (Web Desk) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has emphasized the need to promote unity, brotherhood, and mutual solidarity in light of the challenges facing the region.

Addressing the parliamentary group meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party), he said that in the current painful circumstances, it is necessary to set aside differences and strengthen unity.

President Erdoğan said that those elements who try to pit people against each other should be met with the strongest response of unity and solidarity. He added that political differences should not divide society, but should instead reflect intellectual and human diversity.

He said that Turkey is working to promote the language of brotherhood and to strongly advance the message of peace both within and beyond its borders.

According to Erdoğan, Turkey considers Kurdish, Arab, Turkmen, and Persian communities within and outside its borders as part of a shared history and future without discrimination.

He said that a new security model based on shared history and future is a positive policy that should be encouraged.
