Vienna (Turkey News) Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said that Ankara is signing agreements with various countries for the management and transfer of educational institutions, which is part of Turkey’s foreign policy of using soft power and cultural tools.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Turkish Maarif Foundation’s educational center in Vienna, he said that the foundation is playing an important role in promoting Turkey’s soft power and cultural influence abroad.
According to the Foreign Minister, institutional agreements have been made in some countries for the transfer of schools previously linked to the FETO organization, and this process is being carried out in a systematic and careful manner.
He said that the Turkish Maarif Foundation is handling this process in a professional way, while other institutions, including the Yunus Emre Institute, are also contributing to the promotion of the Turkish language and culture.
Hakan Fidan said that introducing Turkish civilization on the international stage and making it more acceptable is a very important phase.
He further said that Turkey’s foreign policy is based on the principles of invitation and acceptance rather than coercion, and this is its major success, as a result of which the country, its culture, and its people are gaining greater acceptance at the global level.
