London / Istanbul (Turkey News) Türkiye’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has said that there are possibilities of resolving key differences in the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran over the nuclear issue, while talks are expected to resume in Pakistan on Saturday.
Speaking to journalists after a program at Oxford University, he said that in the ongoing dialogue between Iran and the US, one or two major issues that had previously stalled the process could now be resolved.
According to Hakan Fidan, Türkiye remains in contact with all parties on a nearly daily basis and has welcomed the recent extension of the ceasefire. He said that the initial two-week ceasefire was not sufficient, but it has now been extended.
He added that Türkiye is encouraging all sides and trying to play a constructive role so that the negotiations can produce results.
The Turkish Foreign Minister further said that progress on the nuclear issue could not only reduce direct tensions but also improve the regional situation, particularly regarding the Strait of Hormuz.
